Would you reccomend skipping instead of jogging?
February 5th, 2015 at 8:16 am
@HinaShazli An accurate answer could never be determined for the reasons I
previously gave, however if you focus on simply burning off more calories
than you are consuming each day then you will lose weight.

yes, it looks easy but its actually ard in the beginning. But doesnt
running do the same things as skipping does?Technically thinking, its the
same kind of excr right?

Oh! Thank you for that reply. 🙂 Can you also tell me how many calories
should we be burning every”day” (cardio and weights alternate days) to lose
at least 6 lbs a month, please?

@rockstaryeayeayea Thank you for the kind words. Remember when you start,
skipping looks easy but is actually quite tough on the body so don’t be
disheartened if you find you need to take a rest pretty fast – that’s
normal! Over time, you’ll build up your stamina. Russ

Hi Giselle, Yes that’s a good scale to use. And yes, you should stretch
before any exercise including skipping. Russ

That’s fine. As your fitness grows I’d look into doing just one session of
20 minutes, and maybe look into incorporating some High Intensity Interval
Training in there to make the most of those twenty minutes. Best of luck,
Russ

Simple advice which just WORKS. No gimmicks, this helped me lose a ton of
weight in the gym WITH Russ and is by far the most effective type of CV
exercise I’ve ever done.

Use a two minute timescale, skip at a moderate/easy speed for 90 seconds
and then ramp up the intensity for 30 seconds. Repeat that two minute cycle
around 8-10 times and you’ll get a 16-20 minute H.I.I.T. workout. Might
need to build upto that, as HIIT is hard. Russ

hi . is it safe to do skipping twice a day – once in the morning (10 mins)
and once in the evening (10 mins). Currently I do it 4-5 times a week in
the morning. Aim is to loose love handles and I want 0% belly fat lol. – At
this stage i do only simple skipping (started 2-3 weeks ago).
February 5th, 2015 at 2:48 pm
@HinaShazli Unfortunately, that question is impossible to answer.
Everybody’s body is different, as with everyone’s diet also, Losing 6lb per
month is most certainly achievable though.

Wow – that is amazing that just by skipping you can achieve weight loss and
alot of it. I have been looking for something that I can start with as I
have been most recently been told I need to do exercise before I turn into
a “couch potatoe”! This will certainly give me a push to start. Thanks for
sharing.

Is it okay to do 2 mins non stop and rest 1 min? then repeat? Til 10
rounds? Do I have to stretch before skipping?
February 5th, 2015 at 4:08 pm
One of the best tips I’ve ever got. I absolutely love doing this after my
session each day now, and it is astonishing how it works.
February 5th, 2015 at 5:05 pm
@HinaShazli Very similar, however skipping utilizes more muscles. The trade
off, however, is that skipping has a higher impact on your knees. Another
benefit, although more mental than physical, is that members push
themselves harder on the rope than they do if jogging. Russ
