When I was a vegetarian, I was always tired and achy, yet… I was eating
healthy. On Atkins, I feel great!

45 pounds in a year is better than 99 % of people can accomplish, simply
because they can’t stick to other diets for 52 weeks. The important thing
is whether you can eat this way for another year. Is it repeatable? If it
is, then that 45 lbs, can be 90 by next September.
Glad to see it is working for you, both in weight loss, and in better
health.

Too bad you didn’t start a High Carb Vegan diet a year ago, you would be
looking like Ariana Grande by now! Check it out

Perhaps your good feelings are to do with balancing your hormones and blood
sugar. High carb diets really mess with those things. Well done, you’ve
done great :-)

Watch this documentary it will really help you out.

That’s great you are having such success. What would even let the weight
fall off faster, would be a small switch in fats…so let’s say, replacing
steak with some healthy plant fats, like having a salad with lots of
avocado in it. Or some cooked vegetables with some dips made of nut
butters, or guacamoli. Nuts and seeds are excellent fat sources, and
coconut is ideal. You can make plates of veggies and put coconut oil on as
butter. Or shake some dried shredded coconut on top of salads and veggies.
If you make, small switches to add more plant fats and less meat fats,
you’ll see the weight just fall right off. :)

45 lbs. in a year is awesome! In fact the slower the weight comes off the
more likely it is to stay off. I love the happy, positive feelings you
talk about experiencing, that alone is worth the change in diet. And
you’ve probably got a lot of other health improvements as well that aren’t
as visible as weight loss but are even more important. Thanks for the
video, is always interesting to see how people in the real world do on this
diet.

Thanks for being willing to withstand the trolling comments that seem so
common on YouTube and other forums. I am having some excellent results with
LCHF. I have learned to eat only when I’m hungry which means that I don’t
have to eat 3 “squares” a day if I’m not hungry. I also learned to stop
eating when I realize that I am not hungry anymore. I don’t eat until I’m
full I quit eating once I notice that I am not hungry anymore.
Congratulations on sticking with this lifestyle plan for 1 year. I feel
confident that you will succeed with your goals for the upcoming year.
You might enjoy a book titled, “The Primal Blueprint” by Mark Sisson. I
sure did. Hang in there. Great attitude!!!

Totally agree with dollyrocker. Finally someone on here that does weight
loss on her schedule. Way to go and WAY to stick with it! You’re a human
and everone slips up but you’re still a great person and it shows. WOW.
You’re not one of these youtubers who’s yelling at you about how cool
cross fit is or how they lost 100 pounds in 2 months. Who cares. Do what
works for you and do it only for yourself and the rest will follow. I am
definitely a follower now. Good luck Jenny Bell

Try zero carb. Raw meats and fish and poultry cooked the way you like them
and eggs, only. Water to drink. Nothing more except a few seasonings and
clarified butter. One huge meal a day. The fattest meat you can find and
stuff yourself eating it all and drinking the fat and juices. Every last
drop. Works great and great for your health.

Interesting about the dandruff. I know that Apple cider vinegar as a leave
in hair rinse works fantastic. But that’s great that low carb has helped.
And congrats on the weightloss too.

You seem to have disappeared from your blog, Facebook, and here since
December, 2014. And from here since August. You had said you were going to
post monthly videos, but I think this is your last one (August) I
just discovered your pages on all 3 sites, this morning but have now
realized, 1 hr later, that it seems you actually left everything about a
month ago. 🙁 Are you still going to be around? Did you fall off the
wagon and just don’t feel like getting back on? What’s become of you,
Jenny? I sure hope you are ok!

Missing seeing your progress

Thank you so much – I have watched all your videos in two days and they are
a great motivation. I have lost 33 kg (72 pounds) in 6 months on low carb 8
years ago and was able to maintain it until 3 years ago. Now I need to
loose 20 kgs to go to my target weight of 60 kg (132 pounds), and have
finally plucked the strenght and courage to do it again. Videos like yours
are of great assistance, and I loved how you talked about mistakes and
victories too. Thank you so much, and I hope to see more of your videos.
Lots of love from Belgrade, Serbia, and keep up the good work :)!

Still a really high body fat. Your metabolic rate obviously did not keep up
with your calorie intake/body fat level due to decrease in T3 hormone and
leptin.
Keto diets should not be done for longer than 3 days as prolonged expore to
lack of glucose and carbohydrates will have severe effects on your hormonal
levels in your body.
This however, only applies if the intent behind the diet is to lose body
fat. If you’re following such a diet for other reasons, say you’re an
epileptic or you’re fat cells are extremely insuline sensetive, then long
term low carb could be an option.
If you’re body has no absolute need to cut out carbs however, they should
always be incoorperated SMARTLY into your diet.

Congratulations! Being able to be consistent for a year is really a
commendable feat! What an inspiration!!

I too, would like to offer my congratulations. I came across this video
because I wanted to learn more about the low carb/high fat diet that my
cardiologist recommend. I had a heart attack 8 months ago and just got a
referral to a cardiologist by my clinic. I had been eating a whole grain
and low fat diet, and gained weight in the process. Now I find that is the
wrong way. A cheese omelette with bacon is healthier than my oatmeal
breakfast! Wow, I can get behind that.

Not only have you had weight loss but you are having a great difference in
how your body is feeling physically… Great Job
March 6th, 2015 at 3:39 am
Congrats you look great, hope to see an update soon

I also get the happy feelings, but never at work. I really like not being
hungry. On the Standard American Diet I was always hungry, it sucked.
Keep up the good work.

How much exercise do you do per week Jenny ?
