What kind of "Dr" is this that does not know that short term explosive power comes from the the ATP Krebs cycle, not the Carb cycle. Its why Creatine helps in power sports, because it extends the ATP cycle. It is used in weightlifting and sprinting. Carbs are not used. You need oxygen to burn carbs. You can hold your breath on a 50 meter sprint thus the ATP cycle does not use oxygen or carbs.
Carbs are excellent in middle endurance sports like middle distance races, soccer and boxing. In extreme endurance and long distance sports it has been argued that Keto is better because of the danger of running out of Carbs. An example of this is when marathon runners hit that wall 100 meters from the finish line and their legs go spaghetti. Elite marathoners are now switching to Keto due to its more efficient and long lasting energy.

This is retarded because you still get carbs on a keto diet. Just lower amounts…there is plenty of carbs in a keto diet to fuel your muscles.

I love keto for weight loss but I do feel I have less strength with weights. I agree that sugar is useful for explosive energy.
Ketones is petrol, sugar is nitrous!

Eat sensu beans they are the cure for everything

So Dr. Galpin doesn't know about gluconeogenesis?

I have a hard time believing that we need to eat stuff that is not naturally edible for us. I doubt it that we need to eat bread, pasta, rice, potatos… All that stuff that you need to process in order to be edible. I'm not saying they're bad, I'm saying it's not logical from an evolutionary perspective that we need to eat what we couldn't eat when we evolved into what we are now. A high carb/sugar diet is only possible nowadays, and
guess what!there's a huge business around it… What a coincidence.October 17th, 2018 at 11:09 pm

One of these blokes has been drinking too much soy. It isn't the host.
"Targeting metastasis-initiating cells through the fatty acid receptor CD36" is the article in question. Published in Nature, which is HUGELY compromised in terms of scientific dogma.
They fed mice a "high fat diet" rich in palmitic acid, which is found in coconut oil, however they don't let you access the actual article, to see how the diet was prepared. Figures.
Also, they are not aware as to whether CD36 (a fatty acid transporter protein sitting on the surface of cells) is expressed by all tumours, and yet make the MASSIVE claim that high fat diet leads to cancer metastasis? Brainwashing, and generalization PERSONIFIED.
Mice obviously have a different digestive system to humans, different immune systems, and thus fight tumours in different fashion, so drawing conclusions regarding metastasis in human cancers due to eating coconut oil, when it is likely the palmitic oil prepared in a totally different fashion, is ludicrous.
Just don't forget the Warburg effect:
https://cancerandmetabolism.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s40170-016-0145-9
Also due to mitochondrial dysfunction and thus being unable to process ketones, the fact the ketogenic diet puts human patients into remission:

Joe, my man, check out anaerobic threshold… After a certain "high" heart rate, the body burns 99.9% sugar
