Please advise what is the window for being in fasted state although one has
eaten? Was it 3-4hrs? So if I eat at 3pm and workout at 6pm I will still be
working out in fasted state? Thanks!

Hey so i have a question. I desperately need to lose fat and doing cardio
on the fasted state makes most sense as said in your video. I also dont
want to slow down my muscle building process so if I did an hour or so of
cardio in the morning and later that same day in the evening did weights
would that still help me get bigger? Any cardio exercises you find
particularly useful? Thanks!

It’s been proven that although there is greater fat breakdown in fasted
state, such as in the morning, fat oxidation is the same as in fed state,
thus amounting to no greater fat loss.

It’s all about the energy deficit created over time. Fat is burned while
you sleep. You want to burn more fat, get to bed early and get a good
nights sleep. don’t worry about burning it while you’re awake. Time and
type of cardio is irrelevant. Personally I got better results with short
quick paced 3 mile runs in the evening after my last meal. Do what you
want, when you want, how you want. If the caloric deficit is the same, the
end result will be the same.

what is your opinion on doing HIIT treadmill sprints after a high rep low
weight lifting session? Also does pre workout affect any of the insulin or
hormones you are talking about?

Finally someone providing info that makes sense!! There’s so much
broscience out there, it’s contradicting. Thank you! Also I would like to
add, it’s a general principle in biochemistry that when the liver is low on
glycogen it will use adipose tissue (stored fat) as an energy source.
Therefore in the morning when you’re fasted, levels of glycogen are low.
Meaning the liver will use adipose tissue as a source of energy to put in
glucose to the bloodstream for muscle tissues to use.

I want to lose 18kg (I am 80kg now).I am 3rd year medical student so i
have some basic knowledge about endocrinology and metabolism and all what
you’re saying about hormones it makes perfect sense to me 🙂 I have
problem with low energy when I’m at fasted state so sometimes i have
trouble with making myself to do cardio.But I noticed that when i drink
coffee my energy is at great level.I also read that coffeine helps burning
fat.So what do you think about coffeine before cardio ? I have low blood
pressure (usually 100/70 or 90/60) so there is no risk of very high blood
pressure because of coffeine.I love your videos, they help me a lot.Btw
